In very limited circumstances we do currently accept debit/credit card payments. In order to avoid passing on costly fees to our customers, Mobility Route had decided at our board level to almost exclusively move to an ACH driven payment process. This was factored into our current pricing plans, and the majority of our customers have already been established via ACH. Most probably use ACH with other vendors, including payroll processors.
We do still provide credit/debit card process in limited and exclusive cases, but it comes with a 5% processing fee on the transactions. This covers the fees charged by both our payment processor (Stripe) and billing system providers. The option for debit/credit card is however not accept under any circumstances in the following states due to laws prohibiting surcharges: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kanas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.
ACH payments do pose additional risks to us as a merchant, but overall we don't experience the same levels of abuse in a B2B environment as faced by those businesses with consumer based transactions. ACH transactions come with much stricter requirements as well, being governed by NACHA banking laws and regulations.
If you are still certain you wish to pay by credit/debit card, the Account Owner must contact our Billing Team at [email protected] in order to make the request. If it is approved we will send a link to securely provide card information that will be entered into your Billing Portal.
