While our system processes charge consistently on your renewal date each month, there are a couple of reasons why a charge/draft date on your bank statement may vary. The date in which a payment is processed by us an invoiced will often not be the same day reflected for the draft with your bank as most of our transactions are via ACH. Even so, any limited circumstances for customers making payments with debit/credit card will also potentially see 1-2 day delay between the invoice date and transaction date.

We also process transactions around midnight eastern time (-5 GMT), so for some the date of the charges may also appear a day earlier or at least appear to start processing a day earlier.

ACH / Direct Debit

The ACH / Direct Debit (eCheck) process typically takes 3-5 business days to process, which is of course the same standard with our payment processer Stripe and your respective bank. So while a customer may have a renewal date on the 1st of each month, the charge may not show until sometime between the 3rd and even as late as the 7th of the month.

This is because it would take some time for a bank to send each ACH request, verify that there’s enough money in the account, and wait for the receiving bank to accept the request. This would typically take 48 hours, at minimum.

Plus, many banks process ACH transfers in batches only a few times per day, and some even only process them once per day.
